Comment on Torque multipliers improve fastening performance and safety in wind turbine manufacturing by Fredrick Carter https://www.windpowerengineering.com/torque-multipliers-improve-fastening-performance-and-safety-in-wind-turbine-manufacturing/#comment-670736 Mon, 31 Oct 2022 15:02:17 +0000 http://www.windpowerengineering.com/?p=48351#comment-670736 Well-written blog, Hunter. Torque can increase the wind force but keeps the rotational speed intact. This leads to better mechanical power generation. Maximizing the turbine’s energy is another significant application of torque control.

Comment on Vattenfall and GE join forces to deploy Haliade-X, the world’s largest wind turbine by Craig lang https://www.windpowerengineering.com/vattenfall-and-ge-join-forces-to-deploy-haliade-x-the-worlds-largest-wind-turbine/#comment-670697 Sun, 30 Oct 2022 15:55:16 +0000 http://www.windpowerengineering.com/?p=46757#comment-670697 I think the MPSS ring pontoon semi will be a suitable deepsea support. Since the MPSS was invented in the UK in 197 it has become a workhorse of the offshore industry, a real game changer. My calls show it could support at least four GE Haliade x, provided the proximity issue can be resolved.
